Almost Wordless Wednesday: Adventure
Nothing says adventure like climbing up an unsteady rope ladder to a platform more than 3 stories above the ground in the middle of a Mexican forest. That’s exactly what Colorado Dad and I did last April on our zipline excursion while on our Mexican Riviera cruise on the Disney Wonder. I’m smiling here, but only because I was at the top and hadn’t fallen and broken my neck (yes, this IS what was going through my mind the entire climb). But really, it was a GREAT time and one of the best adventures I’ve had

Very brave! I’ve never tried ziplining because climbing the ladder to get to the top of the trees freaks me out!
I felt the same way, Lisa! My hubby talked me into it though and I was very happy to see that we didn’t have to climb a ladder at all to start off. This picture was actually more than halfway through the course and the only one we climbed all day

Did you notice that the ladder seems to be fraying badly? I feel OK pointing that out now that you’re safely back home, but I hope you didn’t notice it on your way up the ladder. Great picture though. Always wanted to go ziplining. It looks like fun.
Ha! I have noticed that in this picture, although I didn’t notice it at the time. If I had, there’s no way I would have climbed it!

Perfectly captures Adventure! Glad to hear you had a great time. I just did zip lining for the first time last January and had the same thoughts as you. But, we didn’t have to climb a three story ladder to get to a platform though. Wasn’t it fun after the first one? =)
Mary, it was SO fun! After that first one, I honestly wasn’t nervous at all (at least on the actual ziplines). It was quite an amazing experience that we definitely plan on doing again sometime.
Zipline is one of the things I really want to do! Great photo and I am glad you enjoyed it even though you were worried!
